SuperTables 4.0
Our biggest update for SuperTables, with over 50 new features and improvements we are happy to show you the power of SuperTables 4.0. With the latest release SuperTables is getting even better with a long list of new and exciting features that add tremendous value to your reporting platform. Most of these enhancements were initiated by our user’s experiences we value our customers feedback!
A new way of filtering
Introducing new filtering options, perform advanced filtering or search with the new AND and OR filtering options. Dive deeper into your large datasets. Making it easier to filter specific data.
Conditional Styling
Imagine you’re analyzing sales data in Tableau, and you want to highlight regions where the sales performance exceeds a certain threshold. With our improved conditional coloring, you can now create a dynamic dimension based on a calculated field that represents any threshold. This custom dimension can then be used to color another measure in SuperTables, allowing you to effortlessly pinpoint and emphasize areas of exceptional sales performance.
A new column grouping interface
We’ve enhanced column group creation and management, introducing a dedicated configuration section on the screen. This includes added customization options, allowing independent styling of background and font colors for each group. This ensures a seamless experience for dashboard designers, aligning with corporate identity.
Manual Sorting
With the Manual Sorting option, you are able to set the sort order of columns. Experience a smooth and Seamless interface similar to Tableau to customize the values in the way you want. This option allows you to have more freedom while sorting your dimensions.
Display Units
We added the option to customize the display units with short codes for Thousand, Million, Billion, and Trillion. The values are clean and more condensed.
Sticky row groups
Whenever you are grouping and scrolling down in the table. The group rows will now stick to the top. Making it easier to remember in which group you are scrolling.
Auto size to window
With just a click, columns will automatically resize to fit the width of your grid. Saving you time, effort and resources while making your dashboard look clean. The columns scale to fit the available width on your grid.
OR and AND operator support for If Else Formulas
We have added support for the OR and AND operators when creating If Else Formulas in SuperTables. This allows you to make more advanced formulas combining (chaining) multiple conditions.
Export to buttons
Exported tables will now feature grand totals at the bottom, offering a concise summary. Besides that we now show buttons for Excel, CSV, and PDF formats in the SuperTables toolbar. These buttons are configurable in the export options.
More theming options
We have added the option to style the totals and sub totals displayed in your SuperTables. The formatting applied is also available in the exported Excel files presenting you with a beautifully exported table.

– Streamlined Experience: We’ve upgraded the process of creating and managing column groups, making it more intuitive and user-friendly.
– Column groups can now be effortlessly managed via a new, dedicated page accessible from the data tab in the configuration settings.
– Personalize your column groups with enhanced customization options, including the ability to independently style the background and font colors of each header cell.
– When using the greater then (>) sign in the column name, a option appears to escape the (>) character and it will be treated as part of the name.
– Added option to color the font and background of each column header individually.
– Manually sort order of column values.
– Custom order can be set for columns with less then 100 unique values.
– Ordering can be set on the datacolumn configuration page by dragging the values in the desired order.
– Added options to configure display units for measures (Thousands, Millions, Billions, Trillions).
– Added an option to configure the column header alignment (left, center, right).
– Enhanced Excel Export: Now features a ‘Grand Totals’ row at the bottom of each exported table, just like it appears in SuperTables. It’s included by default, so there’s no extra work needed.
– Added 2 new operators in the If-Else Formula Builder: ‘And’ and ‘Or’. These operators can be used to create more complex conditions and combine multiple conditions into one.
– Added a new option to set a default sorting order for each column.
– Added advanced filter. This filter allows you to filter on multiple values at once with And and Or operators. The builder can also be used to create complex filters with multiple conditions.
– Added a new option to configure auto-size columns (width) to the window size.
– Added a new option to make group rows sticky. This option will make the group rows stick to the top of the table when scrolling down.
– Added an option to conditionally color all the cells based on the same or a different column (continuous or discrete).
– Added new options to style the totals and sub totals rows. These styles will also be applied in the Excel export.
– Added new option to add floating export buttons to the table. These buttons can be used to export an table to Excel, CSV or PDF.
– Upgraded third party dependancies
Improved:
– Fixed a filtering issue where columns containing a dot (‘.’) in their name would not be filtered correctly.
– Fixed the column background when grouping the column or using the column in pivot mode.
– Fixed a bug with tooltip where using a column as an image URL would add an additional space at the end of the URL.
– Fixed disappearing group rows when using the ‘Hide parent group row’ without ‘Use multiple columns for grouping’. Now the parent group row will only be hidden when using the ‘Use multiple columns for grouping’ option.
– Fixed a bug with background color in the theming section where the background color would not be applied to the odd rows.
– Fixed an issue with the Multiple Values (list) filter style not working correctly.
– Improved security and bumping of dependencies to latest and most secure versions.
