PowerKPIs
Analyze the ‘what’ and the ‘why’ behind your KPIs.
Features
Countless features for your use case.
KPI Views
- KPI Grids- Create KPIs in just a few clicks instead of spending hours on manual setup. The KPI cards are automatically displayed in a clean grid overview for smooth and efficient tracking.
- Data-Driven KPI Trees- Easily switch between grid and tree layouts. Use the pre-defined tree when the hierarchy within your KPIs is defined in your data and break down a specific KPI into its driving factors.
- Build your Tree- Set up your own KPI tree with the Build Your Own Tree option. Use the Extension to define the main nodes, determine how values connect, and establish dependencies.
Configuration
- Global Settings- Use the global option to update dates or metrics simultaneously, saving time during setup and ensuring consistent data visualization.
- KPI Scenarios- Track the actual performance behind your KPIs. See the numeric results for each indicator, compare them to targets or previous periods, and get a clear view of how your metrics are performing.
- Precision- Define default abbreviations for thousands, millions, billions, and trillions for clear, consistent KPI number formatting.
Metric Settings
- Metadata Formatting- For setups where KPI cards are defined by dimensions, PowerKPIs also allows you to set metric formats based on meta data. This is a huge time saver, especially when displaying a large number of KPI cards or when KPIs change frequently.
- Context Window- Add extra context to your KPI cards without cluttering your dashboards. This feature allows additional information to appear in a separate pop-up box, keeping your main view clean and focused. You can include text, links to relevant dashboards, videos, websites, or any other helpful details to provide deeper insights at a glance.
- Relationships- Define how your KPIs influence each other. Use hard relationships for direct, calculated links and soft relationships for flexible, indicative connections. Add labels to call out these relationships.
Format Nodes and Links
- Color Formatting- Customize the look of your dashboard by changing the color of the canvas, cards, fonts, and icons. Apply your company’s brand colors or pick the colors you prefer, with the option to easily revert to the default.
- Layouts- Select from 6 ready to use card layouts. There is one suitable for every use case.
- Categorical Grouping- Categorical Grouping allows users to organize KPI cards using color, proximity, or a combination of both for a clearer view. In KPI grids labels can be used to call out the categorical groups for even more clarity.
- Charts- Customize trend charts and control grid lines. Choose your preferred chart type and set default colors for a consistent look. By default, grid lines appear only when zooming in, but you have the option to show them permanently.
Advanced Analysis
- Tooltip- Give users quick access to additional context and insights without cluttering the dashboard. Use native Tableau tooltips on the trend charts. Additionally add HTML formatted tooltips on the metric name.
- Sorting- With a single click, switch between different sorting types, alphabetical or numerical, ascending or descending.
- Change Dimensions- Easily adjust your grid layout and quickly switch between the category or attribute on which your KPI cards are based to experience different scenarios.
